SC hearing on Citizenship Ordinance scheduled for Wednesday
KATHMANDU: The dispute over the citizenship ordinance formerly put forward by the KP Oli-led government is scheduled to be heard in the Constitutional Bench of the Supreme Court on Wednesday. On 23 May 2021, the then government brought an ordinance to amend the Citizenship Act. However, the law practitioners filed a writ petition at the apex court saying that the ordinance was brought by postponing the parliamentary session.
