Local elections 2022: 137,043 candidates file nominations across country
KATHMANDU: As many as 137,043 candidates have registered their nominations in 753 local units across the country for the local level elections to be held on May 13. According to the latest data updated by the Election Commission (EC) on Tuesday morning, 3,276 candidates have registered for the post of mayors and 2,009 for deputy mayors in metropolitan, sub-metropolitan cities, and municipalities.
