56 including 8 women file nominations for mayor of Kathmandu Metropolis
KATHMANDU: A total of 56 candidates including eight women have registered their nominations for the post of mayor in Kathmandu Metropolitan City in the local level elections to be held on May 13. Of them, 21 candidates are from various political parties while 35 are independent candidates. Similarly, as many as 31 candidates have registered candidacies for the post of deputy mayor in the metropolitan city. Of them, 12 are from political parties while 19 are independent candidates.
