Govt committed to address Bancharedanda people's concern
KATHMANDU: Minister for Urban Development Ram Kumari Jhankri has said the government would address the concern shown by the people affected by the landfill site of Bancharedanda. Addressing an all-side discussion in the ministry on Wednesday, she said the locals near the landfill site had an important role on the management of the landfill so their concern could not be ignored. “It is our common responsibility to manage well the landfill site,” she said, expressing hope that the Bancharedanda landfill would help a lot in the management of Kathmandu Valley waste.
